    So I was called by a sales person on a friday, they said we was a loyal customer. He said that we was getting free hbo starz and show time for 3 month free and we was also getti g a $13 discount on our monthly bill. He said the chanel would be available in 24 to 48 hours.     I was told that an issue, not due to anything I've done, would prevent me from having access to my services for over 48 hours. This interruption in services was not remedied, but I was instead offered to pay $7.99 a month to fix a problem not caused by my own negligence. They did offer 30 days for free.     My father is almost eighty years old, so I handle his bills online for him. June of 2016, my siblings and I moved our father to a small, one bedroom apartment.     DirecTV is a total fraud.I have read many of the negative reviews (are there any positive reviews?) and I have experienced almost every complaint listed. It is true - DirecTV lies.     Ordered on-line TV service with internet bundle. I asked specifically about internet service, speed and cost. Was assured their AT&T partner would handle all via a DirecTV bundle specialist. Nothing against AT&T per se, but apparently the DirecTV sales dude was supposed to verify UVerse service available in my area. He didn't as obviously he only wanted the order.     I too have Direct TV, Every time it rains, even sprinkles a little the service goes out. Their customer service is the WORST. After the 1st year the bill doubled. I called customer service and was offered another discount for the next year. Bill comes the following month and wrong again.   • Remote Control Problem

    The "Previous" button is located directly above the quick fast forward button. If you are paused in a live feed and you are fast forwarding thru the commercials it is very easy to accidentally push the previous button.   • Won't give me back my money!

    Directv took $600 dollars out of my bank account without me knowing at the beginning of the month which was actually my rent money. I called to get everything fixed and they said they would be able to put half of it back into my bank account. The lady told me it usually take 24 hours but they had to tell me up to 2 days.     I asked an was told I would get a $200.00 credit card. when I signed for two years.     A year ago I added a Genie DVR and at that time, was sold by the installers, a "Cinema Connection Kit" so that the original DVR would connect to my network. Turns out this is not needed when you have a Genie DVR. Interesting, looks like someone made some extra money. Regardless, I never used the on-demand or any other internet feature.     I had the worst experience today. It started off well with the chat channel giving me some phone numbers to call to resolve the 1st generation Genie freezing when I try to use it. It will get stuck on fast forward and freeze when using the guide channels.   • DirecTV - Confirms Appointment Twice on Day of "Installation" Doesn't Show/No Response

    Installation was scheduled for my 79 year old mother. I was called twice to confirm someone was there. My brother took time off from work and wasted his time from 11-6. When the installer didn't show by 5, I called and was told "verification of the account was needed." Apparently the right hand doesn't know what the left hand is doing at Directv.     I am in the Texas viewing area and you can get Time Warner, Dish and Direct TV. We have Direct TV and they or the ONLY one that does not have Longhorn Network.     My phone line doesn't work after the DIRECTV technician left last week. I had Century Link come yesteday to check it. They said that it works fine outside and that the proeblem is inside the house.     I have been a customer with DirecTV for nearly seven years. I get upgrade notices when I can get something cool and I always read and understand my agreement terms.     I was sold on a package in Best Buy and was told that not only would I be getting a 150$ gift card, which still hasn't arrived, but that I would also get the refer-a-friend discount.     I have been a customer with Directv for about 10 years. I have been paying $5.99 for warranty service for my DVR and it started screwing up so I called them. They talked me into getting the upgraded DVR. I specifically asked the lady if my bill would be increased and she said no it would stay the same.     Tonight I ordered UFC 158. I was an hour behind the live action by using the rewind button on my remote control. Just before I was about to watch the main event, the live show ended, and DirecTV CUT OFF my feed.. even the remaining portion I already paid for. Absolutely inexcusable.     I moved from Corpus Christi to Arlington,Tx. and had my Directv account suspended untill October 9th.     I just ordered at&t uverse. Mike White, the CEO of directv is the reason why. Rest assured that he is the reason!!!! He is on the channels that I pay money for, to get, and no longer receive. Telling me that Viacom is demanding that I pay Viacom 30% more to keep receiving the channels that I pay directv for. I have NOTHING to do with Viacom!!!!     I moved and decided I did not want to finish my contract with DirecTV. I understand there is a cancellation charge and I am more than willing to pay it.....     I had their service for about 1 yr. Every time it rained the TV went out completely. I left their company and went to RCN. My contract with them was up and I always paid my bill in full EVERY month so when I left them I paid my balance in full.     Poor equipment service: Channels sometimes are switched; other programs appear. "Investigation ID" channel to which I previously had access is no longer available. Volume control is inoperative.     I have been trying to send back and old receiver for 2 months now and cant get anyone to actually send me a return box. We have been customer's of Direct Tv for several years and you recently sent us an anniversary thank you package of 3 FREE Months of SPORTS PACK, although this was nice of you neither my wife nor I are sports fans, if there had been a choice we would have much prefered either HBO or SHOWTIME.

My credit isn't the greatest so I agreed to a $200.00 cash deposit for a year. Now after the year is up they say it's an 18 month agreement!And now it's NONREFUNDABLE!!! They will give me a $5.00 credit once a month fof the next 40 months starting after the first 18 months.I'm not done with this by any means,I've tried directv next is Better Bussiness Bureau. Then JAMS Arbitration? I say Clarck County Court House. Let a Judge decide.
