    This is based on my experience with Direct TV 3 years back! Direct TV was WORTHLESS!!!! EVERYTIME it rained and was overcast, AND I MEAN EVERYTIME, my service would go out. They lock you in a 2 year contract and do nothing to compensate you for the many times you have no service!!!!!!! I broke contract a couple of months early, because of the service, and was put in COLLECTIONS for $69 which now reflects on my credit report.     DirecTV will lie to you and offer you prices on packages they can't possibly apply enough discounts to give you to retain your business, get you in a 24 month contract and then tell you oh well you signed a contract & we can't honor the package we promised you!   • Deceptive Business Practice Indeed!



    I finds this review interesting because it seems as if Direct Tv customer service and supervisor personnel has an habit of saying "it is not in the record". I just spent an hour on the telephone with a total of three representatives including the retention department supervisor "Agee" whose so arrogant!     When I ordered this service it was sold to me that I would be receiving over 130 channels, plus one specific channel that I had requested for $24.99 and there were numerous discounts I was allegedly getting along with this great deal. It took 2 weeks for me to get my service installed because the contractor Direct TV hired cancelled my installation without my authorization and Direct TV didn't even apologize.   • Previous call to DirecTV to cancel premium channels was not followed up on



    Per my agreement with DirecTV I was to call by 3/15/14 and cancel the premium channels and NFL Sunday ticket if I did not want continue. I called on 3/12/14 to cancel and the agent (female) that I spoke to indicated that she would cancel the premium channel subscription, but the NFL Sunday Ticket did not need to be cancelled until after the 2015 Super Bowl.     I called to get pricing on a bundle (internet and tv) and the sales person for one kept calling me the wrong name.     Here is my complaint to the SC Attorney General: I ordered ATT U Verse Bundle in October 2013 with a promotional cost for the first year. As I was too far away from their main lines ATT offered DIRECT TV (rather than their standard TV portion) as part of the bundle.     I usually do not write reviews but this company is a total waste. I had my service disconnected due to lack of payment. I have tried to communicate with employees to ask what month payment I missed. My records show I have never missed a payment. But every employee I communicate with do not speak English.     To begin, I can hardly believe I am paying for channels that I can get with a converter box without receiving all of the infomercial channels.     I have had direct tv for over a year and it's terrible. Not only does the customer service stink, but the dish is constantly down. I've have people come out about four times in one year, that's once every three months, and made numerous calls to self fix the issue.     It has been 1 1/2 years with no Pac 12 network,but I get 2 Big Ten networks.Living on the west coast and a UCLA fan I would prefer to watch Pac 12 games (problem 1) .Losing the weather channel (problem 2).     We have been with Direct TV since 1994 and at this time have never been as upset - We live in a very rural area in Eastern Oregon and depend on The Weather Channel to get local weather info.     DirecTV drops the Weather Channel and then drops INSP. I understand from both of these channels that DirecTV made zero effort to keep them and refused to negotiate. I have been a customer for 9 years, but after they dropped INSP they are giving me something less attractive and have the audacity to raise my rate by $4 a month.     DTV entices new customers with what appears to be sweet deals. Once they have you under contract, it's only a win win for them. We did the bundle thing and had trouble with confusing billing since the start. Called in almost every month to get straight. Credits here, adjustments there and line item billings that didn't matter to start, kick in later to fatten DTV bottom line!     we have had service over a year. I signed up at Walmart and the rep went over the package and I picked a package less than 70 monthly. Every month it seems our bill is way over that amount.     I%u2019m very upset with Direct TV for removing The Weather Channel from its customers without notice.     Due to health issues, was behind on bill but kept in contact to let them know. Looked at bank account today and all of my money was gone. Directv has taken over $550 out of it.     I am not a direct tv customer, however I did a favor for one of my friends by paying their bill with my credit card, a one time deal. Well my friend didn't like the service because they lied about how much the bill would be and every month their bill was higher after the first three months, they also added the sports package without permission and my friend had a 300 bill. What a mistake, I signed up for the Entertainment package for a special rate of $24.99 and some free channels for 3 months.     I was moving into a new place on 11/1/13 and decided to reach different cable providers (Currently had Uverse). I was already aware that DirecTV has the best quality and then I also saw they offer the new Genie home DVR system, which per their website (https://support.directv.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/4109/related/1)says that the Genie Mini's only need power and HDMI hooked up, no Coax, which was great since my living room TV is not near any cable drop.     Direct tv has the worst customer service. I originally got direct tv in Dec 2012. I was forced to miss work twice because the first technician they sent out installed the system wrong.
