  • DirecTV should be ashamed of themselves

I have the service and I have a 5th TV I wanted installed. The rep DANIELLE was a complete unprofessional rep. She rudely interrupted me without fully ALLOWING me to complete my question which caused her to repeat herself several times NOT answering my question AT ALL! This girl needs additional training on how to ZIP IT until the CUSTOMER is done!!! You give half information and make ppl NOT want to do business with you all AT ALL! Worst customer service experience goes to DANIELLE!! Way to go!! Learn how to zip it! More...

  • No local channels

Direct TV and our local channel folks are arguing over price... so Direct TV blocks all the local channels... except the NBC station. I really don't care about the problems between Direct TV and local channel management. I pay for a service from Direct TV... their commitment is to provide me the entertainment I signed up for and pay for. Therefore, when Direct TV blocks my services I should be compensated... my monthly service fees should be reduced. Why isn't that happening?... and why isn't Direct TV communicating me with about when my local channels will be unblocked.... More...

In our January bill we got a notice that prices are going up (again) on 1/22/17, "due to higher costs of programming." How can that be when they just dropped Esquire (on which we loved NCIS: Los Angelos reruns)? You'd think they'd lower the price when they take away a channel. Why don't they lose most of the shopping and infomercial channels? We don't have a lot of money for entertainment, so I hate to get an even lesser package, but we'd lose the FEW channels we like. It it will now be over $100/mo. for this. Charter bundle is looking better every... More...

  • Communications with the technical department

We've been Direct TV customers for years. Prior to about 2 years ago the company was top notch. You'd call the customer service and get a technician on the line to help you and help you they did. Now when we call we are so frustrated and upset with trying to get our issues resolved. In the past 2 years when I call I would get someone who couldn't speak english very well. They didn't understand me and I couldn't understand them. Finally I've had to just say "please let me talk to someone who speaks English clearly. What is Direct TV doing?... More...

Account No. 5731185 My name Verndale Johnson, I have the most horrible experience with your company Direct TV; 1. I applied for the $19.95 never happened 2. Never received the bundle as told Now that I can't tolerate anymore lies and deceit your company wants to charge me $795.00 for such poor service. • Good service horrible prices

"I've had service with Directv for over 15 years, they have good service and customer has always been helpful. But their prices are terrible and seem to get worse with time, I have to purchase one of the lower packages at 59.99 but still end up paying 90 dollars a month for barely any channels due to equipment and fee charges, I'm limited where I live but will be looking for cheaper options. • Tenure

I have been at DirectTV customer for 14 years and have always enjoyed the programming and customer service othe than a few small issues throughout the years. With that said, I moved to TN from NC about a year ago and I was told by a direct tv phone rep that I would have to open a new account and that I could NOT transfer my 13 yr account. I am moving in two weeks so I called to get my install scheduled and to ask about upgrading to the new wireless mini Genie system but I was told that it would be $300 fee because their system showed that I had only been a customer less than one year. • Direct TV POOR service

When I first contacted direct for service it took many calls and transferred around to several different people. 3 of the call were over an hour. I was even disconnected several times and then had to explain everything all over. In one day it took 9 phone calls. Finally I got someone that was able to help and scheduled my install date that was a week later. I took the day off from work since the install time was 12-4. At 2:30 I received an automated call that said my tech would arrive in 36 min. At 4 no one had showed up, so I paid my neighbor to stay at my home to wait for the tech. I... More...

Living in MN we constantly have snow settling on the satellite....which stops service. Or we have spring and summer rain falls....which also stood service. It is so frustrating! Jan. 14, I called discernity-direct tv to find out when my cable would be turned back on after a shut off from an unknown utility charge from my property management 'Canterbury retreat apts'. The following morning my internet was off so i called to see what was the problem and reached a EXTREMELY RUDE WOMAN that insulted me by stating "you people over there need to start paying your bills". • Directv Programming Packages

Directv%u2019s salespeople are not telling potential customers the real cost of their monthly programming package. When you do find out, it is too late, and you are stuck in a two year contract that you cannot get out of without a heavy penalty and possibly cannot afford. I have detailed the exact monthly cost of my current 150 channels that is listed at $61.99 on Directv%u2019s website. The Directv salesperson should ask the customer what their tv needs are, tell the customer there is a $6.00 monthly fee on each tv used in the plan, advise them of the $25.00 monthly rental fee on the... • Unauthorized credit checks even though i was never a customer

I live in a high rise building, DirectTV and I agreed to not do credit checks which lower your credit score, until they can proof they can place a satellite dish in my high rise apartment, they sent a technician out, he couldnt put dish in, but Direct TV did a unauthorized credit check any way, dropping my credit score for nothing, I DIDNT EVEN GIVE THEM MY SOCIAL SEC # !!! They can pull unauthorized credit checks just by your address. I think it is quite sad that I have to be without TV service for 10 DAYS because nobody can get here UNTIL August 26. I talked to 2 representatives yesterday, and neither one of them could help me; hence, the repair service. • DirecTV loyalty rewards aren't free

Due to financial reasons I had to cancel my account with DirecTV. I was told I had a refund coming and was issued a check for the $9.27 left on my balance. The next month I suddenly received a bill for a pay per view movie that I had watched as a loyalty gift many months prior. I never use PPV and never would have except that I had been sent this voucher in the mail saying I had a free movie for being such a loyal customer. I followed all their directions about redeeming it and everything. So I was pretty mad about this when I got the bill. I was a customer for 7 years straight, never paid... More...

  • Signal Issues with Directv

We decided to switch from Cox Cable to Directv because of the money we could save. Which is a big difference in expense but I guess that just goes to show you get what you pay for. We have had nothing but issues since switching over. These issues are so continious that we decided to cancel our service to Directv two weeks after setting it up. However, you do not get 30 days to discover the new service sucks and get out of a two year contract. We were informed that you have to come to that decision within 24 hours of signing your contract. • Bill always wrong.

I just cancelled Direct TV and it was the best decision ever. Of the two years of service we had through them, I think there were only about 3 months where the bill was correct and I didn't have to call and complain. When I did call I was always given a "I don't know why someone would have told you that but it's not possible" line. SO FRUSTRATED with them. Maybe it is because I have it combined with my ATT internet bill. If so, they need to work on their coordination to better serve customers. More...

  • Bad Instal Can Make a Big Difference/Directv Does not Really Care

Be careful who installs your Directv. I had a very faulty installation about 10 years ago. The installer put the dish too close to an emergency exit window, blocking the security grate from opening. While he was in the middle of the instal it was pointed out to him. Instead of moving the dish over a few inches, he oriented the dish off access and therefore gave me less than optimal reception because he was too lazy to move the dish. Fast forward 10 years and I have to have a tech come out because one of my boxes just went totally out. Turned out that a neighbor's workman accidentally... More...

Costing me $300 every football season. In June I called to have my service transfered to our new home and asked about their Movers Deal that is suppose to save customers $500. • Unfair Rate Increases

I ordered service in November of 2009. At that time, we we were paying around $78 each month. Since then, our rates have increase to $89, which is too high. I called Directv a few months ago about the rate increases and all they did is give me a $5 credit each month for 3 months. At that time, I asked them if I could do a bundling package(telephone, internet, and satellite) to cut down on my expenses and they told me I couldn't because I was a current customer. We like Directv. We subscribed because there are 4 TV stations where we live and no cable. Installation was flawless. Customer service has been excellent as we learned to use the equipment. So what's the problem? We were excited to have access to movies, and this is a direct quote from the website: "DIRECTV on demand offers 7,000 TV shows & movies at no extra charge. DISAPPOINTED December 26, 2011 I made the decision to switch my internet and tv services. My initial interaction with both companies was satisfying. Good and prompt service. AT&T was scheduled to install internet on January 5th and Directv on January 6th. However I had to reschedule Directv for January 7th. No problems there. January 5th AT&T came and installed their box on the outside of my house for wiring, and Saturday Directv showed up for the installation of the dish. So far service from both companies was fantastic.
