  • Complete abortion

    Having tried to allow this horrific joke of a company almost 2 years to figure out how to provide TV service to my home - I gave up all hope and terminated my service today. Service does not work if it rains, if it is too hot, if my grandmother farts, if there is a slight breeze from the north, south, east or west. Complete garbage. We have had at least 20 incompetent service reps during this period of time. This joke of a company should be investigated by numerous States Attorney office across the country for outright fraud.     I have been a loyal/value Direct TV customer since 2005. I recently upgraded my home televisions to flat screens, which require an HDMI connection. The boxes I currently have do not support this feature. I called Direct TV and explained to them that the equipment they issued me back in 2005 was obsolete, no longer appropriate in 2014 and needed to remove from service.     I thought I would add my two cents and clear some things up. I don't know what's wrong with some people. If it sounds too good to be true, THEN IT IS. Choice package and above includes Sunday Ticket Max for 2014 NFL season for free. Although it will auto renew in 2015, DIRECTV will contact you first to make sure you want it again! Are they going to auto renew a 330.00 subscription without your permission?     I recently subscribe to Direct TV because Comcast was too pricey. Let me begin by saying I ordered it the end of July because I received my bill from comcast (comass) at $189.00 which only includes cable/internet services. I had a installation date of August 1st between 12-4. The installer calls my house at 3:00 pm saying that he will be there in 20 minutes.     OK so Ive been online trying to order service since 10 am this morning.. COME TO FIND OUT! this message is a message that is displayed to anyone and everyone. "The address you entered does not match the zip code you provided earlier. Please provide a correct installation address.   • Buyer beware

    The first big problem is during bad weather you lose reception when you need it the most. You don't know if there is a warning of a tornado ect. We were told if our tuner box broke we could seen it back and have replaced free of charge. What they don't tell us is that when you send THEIR box in to be replace it renews your contract and they don't send you a notice that it is renewed. When you call to close our account they tell you the amount you owe for the monthly bill but do not tell you that your contract is not up and you owe broken contract fee ($300). They would... More...

  • NEVER use this company!

    Direct TV has some of the WORST service you will ever find from a company. DO NOT TRUST THEM!!!! I really can't stress this enough. I am fortunate enough to not have made the decision to use them. However, I know people who have (Boss & Boyfriend to start.) EVERYONE I know who has had this service has had trouble with their bill.   • DTV Contract Fraud

    Direct TV replaced our receiver and they (honestly) did not tell us we would be agreeubg to another 2 years. We had been with them for many years and autopaid. Two week after the unit was replaced, we switched to Comcast, because of a broken satellite that defuncted HD... service man could not fix.
