  • Terrible customer service

    My bill with Direct TV has been going up every month, since January 2017. I have called multiple times, each time on the phone for 1 to 1 1/2 hrs, speaking to various representatives. After being put on hold multiple times, to "see what they could do", I was told each time my bill would go back down to it's original January price.   • $100 visa gift card scam

    I became a direct tv customer back in March. I was told that I would recieve a $100 gift card for changing to direct tv. I have called 3 times and getting nowhere. I finally found out who to call today. I was told i could no longer get the card. I am very dissapointed and pissed off. Is this how to run a company???   • Upgrade

    We have been with directv since 2009 and we recently upgraded to the genie and connected our boxes to the internet. They gave us a great deal on the upgrade and it all seemed great. Three months down the road my bill come in and I have 60$ worth of pay per view on my bills that says it was ordered on 1/2011?When I called directv they explained that when you change boxes or connect your systems to the Internet it can cause anything that you have done to upload in the system and you can be charged for it.   • Great Service, but still has a few flaws

    My parents had Direct TV while I was growing up, and lets just say, I missed it when i didn't have it. I am very glad to have direct TV again, and their promotional pricing is great (granted i know it will increase at the end of the year) I do think they could improve a few things, such as having a way to cancel these dumb Stars/Cinemax/Showtime/HBO stuff without talking to someone. They have an X Button online, which tells me to call their phone.   • Lies, lies, lies...

    I had a terrible riview to write about this company. From the start to now I was lied to. I was lied to by the guys who stand inside walmart giving out promotions to a manager named Mariam who promissed me adjustments and credits and it never happened. But there's light at the end of the tunnel, I got transfered to a very nice young man named Jeremy (employee ID# 452996) whom I believe should run the company because he has excellent customer service skills and is great in defusing an angry caller, very knowledgeable and understanding.     direct tv is watching out for its customers.viacom wants more money,direct tv doesnt want to charge customers for thier increase.especialy with the financial hardship of the majority of its customers.the longer the hold out the more pressure viacom has to settle because the companies that buy commercials on thier programs have to be getting worried that the amount of viewers have droped and thier commercials arent getting watched,means less commercial revenue for viacom.i am behind direct tv 100 percent.stand firm and lets show viacom we mean buisiness!   • Direct Tv's Pay For View monthly offer

    June's offer was ; order 4 movies and receive OVER $10.00 ten dollars back? Got the bill today, showed 4 movies ordered in 2 days @ $4.99 ea BUT, NO CREDIT? Called Direct TV a few minutes ago. Agent informed me it would take 8 to 10 weeks to get a rebate. I mail THAT in and they will credit the account in ANOTHER billing cycle Depending on WHEN they receive the rebate?   • Cable HD Signal

    direct tv hd signal I say it's way better than comcast. We have HD TV in our bedroom and it doesn't give us good HD before when we had comcast. We swicth to Direct TV and we can see the differnce. Because of great HD signal we ended up buying another LCD HD for our living room. More...

  • cancellation fees

    When ever you sign up for any new service with big companys use a credit card then cancel it. This will ensure they cannot charge you any fees at their will. Beware of Direct, Embarq, Sprint and bundaling service. They lie to you then your bill continues to go up. Then you have to fight with each company that is a part of the package.
