100% Customer Dissatisfaction - Customer Service


I recently contacted DirecTV to cancel my subscription. I purchased it through a Verizon bundle and was told it was a one year agreement. I now need to pay an early termination fee of $200+. The customer service manager HUNG UP on me after she was extremely rude and I informed her that I was the Customer. I then wrote to the Office of the President and received a call today and it seems that they really don't care either how their customer service treats their clients. Given what I have read on this website and others, customer service is not a priority and that 100% Customer Dissatisfaction should be their motto.

I too have had terrible experience with Direct TV. After being quoted a "bundle price" from a representative and agreeing to service, I discover that the actual bill is going to be double my original quote. I attempted multiple times to deal with Direct TV in good faith to have the problem resolved. Each time a promise is made by customer service that Direct TV can not or will not honor. I have had the service less than a month and have spent over 20 hours in that month on the phone with Direct TV. Today I canceled my service and they informed me that I will be bill $460. This is a terrible company to deal with and I would recommend that no one ever consider trusting anything that is said to you via the phone. I am going to attempt to dispute the fee, but even if I do end up owing it I will count myself lucky to no longer be supporting a corrupt unethical company.

I:-) I've been a direct TV subscriber for quite a while and never had much problem with them at all, EXCEPT, I called them to have a service technician come out to repair a coax cable that wasn't secured properly and got accidently pulled out. They wanted to bill me $250.00 for a service call. I think that is totally unreasonable. I really got upset with the person on the phone when I heard that. I told her to forget it I'd fix it myself... I am changing to dish network... they want your money but don't want to give any service at all when a problem arises.

had a similar experience got direct tv for my son at college bug mistake thet added the expensive nfl package immediately i cancelled it they said not possible but gave me rebates then my bill jumped a few months later from $23/mo to $148/mo wrote to pres no answer wrote again finally talked to someone from office of pres & cancelled the contract I was never told that i had agreed to a 2 year contract got it via FPLO they never explained this now DIRECTTV thinks they can auto charge my credit card $300 for remaining part of contract if they do this will probably take them to small claims court.THEY HAVE THE ABSOLUTE WORST CUSTOMER SATISFACTION CAPABILITY OF ANY MAJOR COMPABY THAT I HAVE EVER DEALT WITH IN SPITE OF THIS BEIBG A PRIORITY OF MIKE WHITE THEIR NEWISH CEO WHO IS BEING FOOLED CONTINUOUSLY BT HIS EMPLOYEES.

Yes I agree that Directv is horrible. If you ate thinking of signing up with them, do yourself a favor and don't. I recently canceled because I moved and where I living now doesn't have satilite signal ( thank god)! I sent them the receivers back then a month later I get a bill for the receiver they lost. Then I spend an hour on the phone with some twit saying I have to contact Fedex to find out what happened to the boxes and that I should have gotten a tracking number from fedex when I shipped them out. I said that I REFUSE to caretake their problem and they can figure it out on their own. Then suddenly the supperviso I was speaking to found the receivers. They magically just appeared in front of them! Now it will tale 6-8 weeks to get my money back. I will be sticking with cable from now on ( no contracts!)

Had the same experience, but before she hung up I wished that the same thing should happen to her, then she hung up!
