When I joined Directv they offered this wonderful option to give you all the movies channels for 3 full months free :) But the fail to tell you that they cant disconnect them or even set up a future date to disconnect them. You have to call in on the day that they are suppose to be disconnected to have them removed. Seriously, they are quick to set up future billing dates but cant offer future discontinuation of movie channels. So here is what I went through I joined Directv on 6/20 with three months of free movie channels, and if i gave them my credit card they would just directly take out each monthly payment. So I called on 9/6 to have movie channels cancelled when their time was up. the response I got "We can disconnect them today, but cant set up future disconnect dates" whoa wait you can set up future billing but not future disconnect. I guess they computers are advanced enough to do that!! So I was told then that I needed to call back on the 17th to disconnect. OH wonderful not that I have a life according to them, cause after sitting on hold for 45 minutes this time I now understand that I am suppose to rearrange my life to Directv's convince:/ So here we go I go to work late on the 17th cause now I have to call them back, and I am told they can disconnect the movie channels, alright I am done at least I thought. I get my state for oct. and guess what they charged me for the movie channels. 12.99 for each movie channels. OK I am trying to keep my cool here. I take another day from my life to call them, I wait on hold with a stupid computerized answering service and finally I get a real human. I explain the whole situation to them. Only for them to tell me that I should have called on the 9/16. So I got charge 50.00 (a months worth of movie channels) only for them to disconnect them on the 9/17. I lost it. One day and no less they day they told me to call, I am being charged 50.00. Yes I am still fighting this, but my problem is they just automatically took it from my card. And will I see my money, I am guess no, but I made sure to cancel the credit card they were using to bill me. No reason for me to set up future payment when I cant get the same respect back.
