Unethical and Dishonest Company


My father is almost eighty years old, so I handle his bills online for him. June of 2016, my siblings and I moved our father to a small, one bedroom apartment. I committed to a monthly $39.99 plan for two years for my dad%u2019s new apartment. My dad was receiving the bundle package with Century Link. After year one, Directv was applying a $45.99 monthly charge to my dad%u2019s bill for an unauthorized NFL tickets along with other charges. One helpful Directv representative (Anna- ID number: ABB2866) shared that my father%u2019s bill was as high as $150/month. How did this happen when my dad was committed to a 24 month plan at $39.99? It happens when companies are GREEDY and turn to unethical and dishonest practices to gain wealth. To make matters worse, my father had a CREDIT OF ALMOST $300 with Directv, because I demanded a refund for those unwanted channels and NFL shows, and his telephone services (Century Link) and entertainment (Directv) was disconnected. How does this happen? Poor communication and, again, GREED on Directv part. Directv holds the funds and then releases what is left over to CenturyLink. My dad telephone and TV services were interrupted over the weekend because Directv and Century Link need a more efficient system to communicate. In an effort to resolve this erroneous disconnection, I was REFUSED AND LAUGHED AT BECAUSE I REQUESTED THE CEO CONTACT INFO. Therefore, I had to speak with six or so Directv representatives. This retelling of the same story and being placed on several holds took up a minimum of FIVE HOURS OF MY TIME. Further, I spoke with this insolent Directv manager name CODY. He was ridiculously UNPROFESSIONAL and impatient. CODY REFUSED TO GIVE ME HIS ID NUMBER. CODY told me that he was looking to see %u201Cif he could offer me a lil something, something for DIRECTV MISTAKE.%u201D I immediately told him that his response was not professional and he did not seem remorseful. CODY WAS TERRIBLE, AND I AM TOTALLY DISPLEASED WITH DIRECTV. NEVER AGAIN.
