I had direct tv for the past 12 months and the monthly fees were around $ 66.00.After the 12 month period my payments went up to $116.00 without prior notice and when I called them they informed me it is correct and hence I will still have to pay this for the next... More...

You clearly did not read their 2 year contract agreement. The promotional pricing is ONLY for the first 12 months, and after that the price goes up to that stated in the contract. It is not Direct TV's Fault that you did not read something you put your legal signature on, especially one as clear cut and easy to read as their contract,
