3 free months of HBO, Showtime, and Cinemax: although you have to call at the end of the 3 months to cancel them (ever hear of a calendar?), you are always welcome to OPT OUT of the promotion. Don't think they're trying to "sneak one by" you. Just say no thanks; it couldn't be more simple.

6.00/mo for each TV for programing. Do you want to be watching the same thing on all your TVs, and all change the channel at once? I didn't think so. That's what the 6.00/mo per TV is for.

15.00/mo for DVR rental. Seriously? That's .50 cents a day. How much do you spend on Starbuck's or fast food a month?

THERE IS NO CHARGE FOR HD SIGNAL. DIRECTV ASSUMES HD, SO THEREFORE, IT'S INCLUDED.

Moving within your agreement? DIRECTV covers one install every 12 months for free. Your initial install is install #1.

DIRECTV doesn't provide internet services. Let me say that again. DIRECTV is not an internet provider. That's why they're not called DIRECTINTERNET. They do, in some cases, piggy back, or "bundle" their services with an already existing internet provider in your area. As such, if you need 20 mbps or faster with your DIRECTV, expect to add 60.00/mo to your DIRECTV bill. It's that simple. What's the benefit? You'll get one bill instead of two. That's it. You MAY save 5.00/mo. Maybe.

Old satellite dish removal: it's not DIRECTV's responsibility. Have you ever installed a towel rack? How about a paper towel dispenser? It's about as difficult to remove the dish.

Wireless Genie whole home DVR: Genie can control up to 4 TVs at a time. Coaxial cable connects to Genie, All other TVs have a wireless mini genie. Wireless mini genie still needs a power source, and HDMI cable to connect to TV. A wireless video bridge broadcasts wireless video throughout the home, and doesn't interfere with internet connection. A one time 99.00 installation charge is due at time of ordering for the video bridge installation.
