1. Called their 1-855-229-4388 number and was disconnected. This is not making me want to use Direct TV to be disconnected right off the bat!
2. Called back, got to phone prompts and was asked two questions right away:
a) Are you or is anyone in your household 50 years or older?;
b) We are offering you today a $100.00 rebate voucher to a store of your choosing (Walmart, etc.) if you sign up today for Direct TV.
Got a sales rep on the phone and asked her why Direct TV needed to know the information on ages of me or anyone in my household. She didn't know. Then I asked her about the $100 rebate voucher....catch: you need to keep Direct TV for 30 days and if you don't cancel or get fed up with their service or customer service ....hooray, you get to use the voucher.
At this point, the sales rep put me on hold to ask her supervisor the answer to question a. above and said she'd be right back with me. She transferred me to billing. I asked who I was speaking to, and she said "billing". I explained to billing dept rep that I have no account YET with Direct TV and I'm so far not even happy with being jostled about and transferred to wrong departments. She said she was sorry and said she was transferring me to a sales rep. I got put on hold...for about 10 min.....
I hung up. If I can't even get to talk to a person who knows what they are talking about why would I do business with you Direct TV?
Really!
Seems like with this company you better find out ALL THE HIDDEN BS in their pricing (equipment, taxes, fees) before you commit. Then get all that in triplicate and hope you get what you ordered.
Direct TV - just get your shit together with customer service because THERE IS NONE.
NOT HAPPY.
