Cancellation fee? - Cable

I have been a member since 2012. I actually referred my FAMILY to them because I thought they were great at first. Not to mention I was excited about the 100.00's back, which also is a HORRIBLE deal because it splits it up onto 10 MONTHS so you get back 10.00 a month. Which I guess I cant complain but when they stopped giving it half way through? that was BS. Okay not a problem, then my bill was always increasing every month? how? So I call and they said my contract was up and now was receiving the full price, still not an issue so I talked with them to try to lower my bill and the lady said she could lower it by 5 DOLLARS. Ok whatever, I took it and started looking else where.... when I finally did just do a bundle with AT&T I call back Direct TV (to finally cancel since my installation was the next day) and they said they will be me for the $60.00 cancellation fee??? I asked how since the LAST person I spoke with said I didn't have a contract anymore WHICH IS WHY I started looking. The representative had a bad attitude and pretty much called me a liar because the last time I "spoke" with someone was a year ago? How would that even make sense? TOTALLY horrible service and I WILL NEVER RECCOMEND again. I hope others don't suffer the way I did from this money hungry company.
